What is the theme?

The theme is a graphical interface which gives the layout and structure of the website. It is a collection of files that work together to change the style and look of the website (structure totally changed).

Use of theme in WordPress:

WordPress theme can provide the look and presentation of the material which we use on our website. It can also change the design of our website, including layout. These show us the front end of our website, how it looks because the different theme has a different specification. Themes are used according to client need. There are different types of free WordPress themes in the WorPress.org.

Most WordPress themes provide the following features:

• Design or style of the site
• Font
• Color change
• Location of widget
• Page layout (gives the templates)
• Provide a style for the blog post

How to install a theme in WordPress:

Following are the steps due to which we can install our theme in WordPress, according to the client requirement.

• Firstly you have to log in to your WordPress, after login, you will see a dashboard. Now click on Appearance » Themes.

• Click on the themes after this theme page show on our screen. Now click on the Add New button at the top for adding a new theme.

• On the next screen, you can see different themes or you can search new theme according to your needs and requirement. There are multiple types of theme u can find and use them, but every theme has different layout and structure or front-end. Here is an example of searching a theme.

After searching for your theme, click on the install button.

• After installing the theme now you have to activate the theme by clicking on the activate button. After clicking on your WordPress theme will be installed and activated successfully. Now you visit your site and see your theme that you have installed.

Method of uploading the theme in WordPress:

• Firstly you have to log in to your WordPress, after login, you will see a dashboard. Now click on Appearance » Themes.

• Click on the themes after this theme page show on our screen. Now click on the Add New button at the top for adding a new theme.

• Clicking on add new button the next screen will appear, and then click on the Upload Theme button at the top.

• By clicking on upload theme button next screen will appear when you see a choose file button, click on choose file button.

• After clicking on choose file button select the zip file theme which you want to upload, after uploading the theme from your system. Now you have to install the theme by clicking on the install button. After installing your theme now you have to activate your theme by click on activate button.
